1) Do you think BSN nurses brings more positive patient outcomes than ADN nurses?

2) Basak, Demirtas, and Ivigun (2019) discussed nurses’ education and competency in delivering proper patient’s education in the use of inhalers. The authors stated, “studies have shown that even the nurses do not have sufficient knowledge on inhaler drug administration” (Basak et al., 2019, p. 2). Basak et al. (2019) articles discussed nursing education and nurses’ ability to educate patients if themselves do not own that knowledge. I have to agree with Basak et al. (2019) article as I have known nurses with an advanced degree that were not very familiar with inhaler or other processes. I do believe that advanced education help nurses learn not only patient care but leadership philosophies, business practices, and health care processes. However, in my personal experience, many with a higher education leave the bedside and may forget what being a floor nurse means. The Institute of Medicine [IOM] (2010) released the report titled The future of nursing: Leading change, advancing health. The most interesting topic for me was related to a relationship between changes in nursing and the new health care reform. On the other hand, as we progress and advance, we need to evolve, be innovative, informed, and be prepared for the changes to come. Any thoughts?

3)I enjoyed reading your post. You wrote “Researches have related RNs with higher education level have fewer medication errors, positive patient outcomes, and lower patient mortality rates.” Why do hospitals with BSN nurses have lower congestive heart failure mortality, decubitus ulcers, failure to rescue, and postoperative DVT or PE and shorter length of stay? What are the differences between an ADN and a BSN nurse? (Support your answer with a source).
4)Read page 15-16 of “Exploring the Value of Continuing Education Mandates,” by Smith (2003), located on the National Council of State Boards of Nursing website.

5) I really like how you defined DNP vs PhD. Loomis, Willard, and Cohen (2017) discussed about the choice nurses make when they decide to pursue a DNP or a PhD. The authors continued by stating that the PhD is the track for increasing faculty (Loomis et al., 2017). What does it mean? Increase faculty means increase nursing student. What is your thought?

You must proofread your paper. But do not strictly rely on your computer’s spell-checker and grammar-checker; failure to do so indicates a lack of effort on your part and you can expect your grade to suffer accordingly. Papers with numerous misspelled words and grammatical mistakes will be penalized. Read over your paper – in silence and then aloud – before handing it in and make corrections as necessary. Often it is advantageous to have a friend proofread your paper for obvious errors. Handwritten corrections are preferable to uncorrected mistakes.

Use a standard 10 to 12 point (10 to 12 characters per inch) typeface. Smaller or compressed type and papers with small margins or single-spacing are hard to read. It is better to let your essay run over the recommended number of pages than to try to compress it into fewer pages.

Likewise, large type, large margins, large indentations, triple-spacing, increased leading (space between lines), increased kerning (space between letters), and any other such attempts at “padding” to increase the length of a paper are unacceptable, wasteful of trees, and will not fool your professor.

The paper must be neatly formatted, double-spaced with a one-inch margin on the top, bottom, and sides of each page. When submitting hard copy, be sure to use white paper and print out using dark ink. If it is hard to read your essay, it will also be hard to follow your argument.
