Assess whether you are meeting the competencies of the Pew Health Professional’s Commission Competencies for Healthcare Workers.
Include the following in your assignment:
· Read Chapter 2 and To Err is Human – To Delay is Deadly: Ten Years Later, Millions of Lives Lost – Billions of Dollars Wasted.
· Table 2-2 lists the Pew Health Professional’s Commission Competencies for Healthcare Workers
· Choose five of the 21 competencies and answer to bullet points 3, 4, and 5
· Determine your role in creating the problems in the IOM report.
· Reflect on your role as a BSN-prepared nurse leader who is part of the solution.
· Develop a plan that will assist you if you are not meeting the competencies.
· Produce a 3-5 page paper in APA format. (The required page numbers do not include the title page or reference page.)
· Include at least two scholarly references in addition to the textbook with the paper including at least two citations.
· Format each of the five chosen competencies as level two headings.
